Job Description:
Position Overview: As a Trailer Repair Technician at Kyzer Truck & Trailer Repair, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing tractor trailers to ensure their safe and efficient operation. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance to keep our customers’ fleets in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trailer Repairs: Perform a wide range of repairs on tractor trailers, including but not limited to brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, and welding/fabrication work.
- Diagnostic Work: Use diagnostic tools and your expertise to identify and troubleshoot issues accurately.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure the longevity and reliability of trailers.
- Quality Workmanship: Consistently deliver high-quality work that meets industry standards and exceeds customer expectations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and work completed.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on repair progress and answering their questions or concerns.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other technicians and team members to meet service goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Trailer Repair Technician or a similar role in the automotive or trucking industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of tractor trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, electrical, and welding.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
